So if the bible is the literal word of God, does this imply that beginning also has to have included the concepts of language, alphabet, written word and calligraphy? Possibly even before the existence of god?
Does it not also quite clearly state that there IS a beginning, and therefore the universe is not eternal?

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.
“in the beginning was the word and the word was with god [greek ton the.on (τὸν θεόν)], and the word was god [the.os (θεὸς)'].”
the ‘ton’ is the definite article, its similar to our word ‘the’
this implies it is referring to ‘the god’. the one and only.
the second ‘god’ (the.os) has no definite article (no ‘the’). this means it is not the ‘one and only’ therefore, most readers will interpret is as being ‘a god’
‘the word’ (logos) must therefore be separate. divine, but not THE divine being himself.
the bible translator William Barclay says ‘to put it very simply, he does not say that jesus was god’
acording to scripture, jesus had a beginning, but god did not.
